However, the title should read 'A Taste of Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast', particularly since both Stafford Lumley of Smittys Oyster House, and David Bowes of Laughing Oyster, are both from the Sunshine Coast, which is not on Vancouver Island. Smittys is located in Gibsons, and the Laughing Oyster is located in Lund, both on the Sunshine Coast. Visit our website for details of the exact location of the Sunshine Coast (it is actually on the mainland, but reachable only by BC Ferries and various airlines). This event was presented as a partnership between Tourism Vancouver Island and Sunshine Coast Tourism. Would really appreciate it if you could correct these errors, but love this blog.
